Buns Up Baby Review and Giveaway!

Buns Up Baby is a One Size pocket diaper. It has a snap down rise like most OS diapers do. It comes with one microfiber insert. The diaper I received to review is minky on the outside with a PUL (waterproof) lining, and soft micro suede on the inside. It is made to fit babies who are about 8-35 pounds. 

My son is almost two and is a super skinny kid (maybe 25 pounds?). We had the best fit with the diaper snapped down all the way. That surprised me because he is usually on the second snap setting on every other OS diaper.  

It was pretty trim for a OS diaper (which I usually find a bit more bulky than sized diapers). We still got a good fit with the diaper snapped down on the second snap setting. I just found it had a little droopage in the butt when it was wet. 

The only down side to this diaper is that I do not think it would fit smaller babies very well. You may need to wait until your baby has some meat on their legs before putting them in this diaper. On the flip side, I do think it would fit larger babies better than other OS diapers as well. Other than that, the diaper was great! We didn't have any leaks and the fit was great. I don't usually like pocket diapers but I did like this one. I love the minky on the outside too! It is so soft.

Oeko Popo Review and Giveaway!

Oeko Popo diapers are an All In Two and a cover! They also have a sleeve to make it a pocket diaper. It is very versatile.
I was impressed when I first got the diaper. The cover is well made and is soft. They have a little white stripe around the leg gussets which help prevent leaks. The insert is soft as well and has a PUL layer on the back of the diaper to help prevent leaks. The insert is made of 3 layers of microfiber and topped with a stay dry lining. It comes in two sizes. Size one is for newborns and the early months of a new babies life when OS diapers don't quite fit yet. It fits 5-18 pounds. Size two which is more like a One Size diaper. It fits 8-40 pounds. It is such a unique diaper. I love that!

I don't usually buy OS diapers because they just don't seem to fit my LO right. I have about 2 or 3 OS diapers that have a snap down rise. I did not get a very good fit on my son. The middle setting seemed too big and baggy but the smallest snap setting was way too little all though it wasn't baggy. I really liked the insert and the idea of this diaper. It was very absorbent and worked great even though the fit was a little bit big (I have a very small baby)! The insert is a OS insert so you might have to fold it down if your baby is on the smallest snap setting.

We also used this cover over our fitted diapers. It worked great. We have never had a leak while using it! We tried our Nifty Nappy and BSRB diapers underneath. One of my Nifty Nappies is a larger cut so we used the cover all the way unsnapped and it worked great. I like that they have hip snaps but you don't have to use them. The hidden snaps are ingenious.

I would definately recommend this diaper to anyone! They aren't expensive compared to other AI2. They range from $11.95 to $20.95. They offer embroidered diapers which is why they go up to $20.95. They have some seriously adorable colors and options! You can buy the diapers here.

Just Imagine Tutu Review

I got the tutu in the mail and I fell in LOVE! It is gorgeous and sparkly! It fits 12-24 months old. The waist is super soft and stretchy. The length of the tutu is 7 inches (from where the tulle starts to the bottom of the tutu).

The colors are SO bright and vibrant. I am in love with the glitter too. It is SO much cuter in person (I'm sorry I do not have my nice camera to take pictures with).

It is very well made. I looked all around at the tulle and it is on there very securely.

The adorable peace sign bow is unattachable! How awesome is that?! You can attach different bows or flowers onto the front and make it look like a brand new tutu every time you put it on.

I tried to get a close up of the tutu so you can see the glitter. Again, sorry for the crappy camera. You can also see how well made it is. Isn't it just so adorable?! I LOVE it!

Here it is on my LO. It fit pretty well. My LO is 15 months and 22 pounds so VERY skinny. It fit well but had TONS of room to grow. I think it adorable! The length is perfect. Not too short or too long.

GoGreen Pocket Diapers Review

GoGreen has generously given me a diaper to review. It is a OS Pocket diaper with snap down rise settings. It is one of their print silky diapers. It will fit 8-35+ pounds. At First Glance~

It was very similar to other pocket diapers that I've tried. It has cross over snaps for smaller babies which is really nice! I liked everything about this diaper from the start and was excited to try it out.

How It's Held Up~

I've used it a lot and during the day, I've never had a leak. We both loved it! I've used it for nights twice and both times it leaked. BUT the ONLY thing that works for my super soaker is fitteds and wool. He can not wear any other diaper at night (even disposable diapers leak for us).

The Fit~

I was able to put my 13 month old on the first snap setting. He is skinny but he normally he is on the second snap setting on my OS diapers. I put it on the second snap setting and it worked just as great as the first snap setting. I love the fit. It is a little bulky (like most OS diapers are) but it didn't bother me and it didn't bother him. For a one size diaper, it was pretty trim though!

Would I Recommend It?

OF COURSE! It's only $10-$15 which is such a great price! If you are on a tight budget this is the diaper to buy! Or even if you aren't on a tight budget, this would be a great diaper for anyone. I love all their prints and colors.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it doesn't seem like it would fit really small babies well and it didn't work at nights for us.

Rumparooz Cover Compared to BumGenius and Rumparooz Pocket Diaper

I am just going to do a quick post comparing the cover with a BG 4.0 and a RaRz pocket diaper. It's hard to truly compare them though because the elastic is so stretchy on the cover. It makes it look a little smaller than what it really is.
The BG is the blue one on the left, the cover is in the middle, and the pocket is on the right.

All diapers completely snapped down. The pocket is the smallest diaper and the BG is the biggest.

All diapers on the second snap setting. The BG only has 2 snap settings.

The BG is completely unsnapped. The other two are on the 3rd snap setting.

All diapers unsnapped. You can see the cover is the biggest. I don't have any other covers (besides wool and WAHM fleece covers) to compare it to. Sorry!

Video Review of Rumparooz Covers

This is my first video review so don't be harsh : ) Sorry the sound kind of sucks and it's a little bit crooked.



This cover will fit from about 6-35+ pounds. It is a very generous cover. (I know I say that a LOT in the review, sorry!) You can get it in either snaps or hook and loop closure. The insides are made of biodegradable TPU waterproof material. Biodegradable TPU is solvent-free. Biodegradable TPU is a polyester fabric that has been laminated with a thermoplastic polyurethane using a heat bonding process. This process is low in toxicity and is better for the natural environment. Both the TPU laminate and the polyester fabric the laminate is applied to are biodegradable. When composted they will biodegrade in 4-5 years. It is more breathable and "earth friendly" than the usual PUL.
I have yet to test it with a poopy diaper but I'm sure it would hold everything in very well! It is so strechy! I thought it would leave red prints on my son if I snapped it down too small but it didn't (and he took a long nap in it). He is 1 year old and he is pretty skinny (about 20 pounds or so). He is on the second snap setting and I LOVE the fit on him. I put a fluffier diaper on him today and it still fit wonderfully! I am excited to keep using this diaper cover. He still has room to grow in it too which I love.
I would give this diaper 5 stars. So far there has been no problems and I am loving it!

*EDITED TO ADD* I have used this over night and with poo dypes and it still is working great. I still give this a 5 star review, months after I have bought it.

NEW Rumparooz Covers!

I was excited when I heard Rumparooz made covers! I have been getting more into fitteds and prefolds and I needed a good cover for when we go out and about. I am not a huge fan of their pocket diapers. They run REALLY small in my opinion and I've had a few issues with them. My 12 month old can wear the pocket diapers completely unsnapped and he is a very skinny guy.
This was on the last snap setting with a SBISH snapless underneath. I didn't like the fit AT ALL! But I had it on the wrong snap setting. I was worried about the elastic being too tight on him.

FIXED! I fixed it to the second snap setting and it was a MUCH better fit! I was surprized at how generous it was!

The fit (once I fixed it) was great! Very trim! I am going to put a bulkier option under it and see how that works too.

He ended up napping in this and no red marks! YAY! The diaper was SOAKED (he is a crazy heavy wetter) but no leaks out of the legs or back or anything. I was happy!
It worked really great! I have only used it once but I liked it so far! I am going to post more pictures of this compred to a few name brand diapers later. (And more detailed pictures of the actual cover)

PureBebe Super Stars ~Giveaway Closed~

These stars are wipe solution and they are awesome! It is very simple. Just put a star in at least 8 oz. of water (I use a little about 12 oz.) and heat to dissolve.

I fill up a cup of water and put a star in. I heat it up for a minute in the microwave (stirring half way through). They dissolve very quickly and smell amazing! I fold my wipes so they pop up like disposable baby wipes (in an old container of baby wipes) and just pour the water mixture on top. Very easy!

Cotton Cheeks Mama Pads

Since I am giving one away, I figured I might as well do a review on them right : ) So what are mama pads? Well to be straight forward, reusable pads. I know what you are thinking. Eww! Gross. Why would you do that?! I thought the same thing when I first heard about them. But (I'm sorry but I am going to be VERY blunt for this review) there are sometimes (like when I first start my period but don't know it) when I bleed a little in my undies. It's true and I know it happens to everyone. What do you do? Throw the undies away? I'm cheap so heck NO! I wash them. I know it's not exactly the same kind of thing but that's how I got use to the idea.
Disposable pads are full of chemicals and tampons are even worse. I've always been a tampon kind of girl and TSS has always scared me even when I was younger. These are chemical free and save you tons of money! Plus these are COMFY and breathable! No more feeling like you are wearing a diaper. (Wasn't there a commercial that said that forever ago? Do you remember it?) I wish I would have discovered these sooner!


I am in LOVE with these pads! I have about 5 different brands and these are by far my favorite!! They are perfect in all ways. They are the right length (mine are 9 inch), they fit perfectly in my undies (to be blunt), and they are COMFY!!! The minky make them SO SO SO nice! It's like you are sitting on a cloud (okay maybe that's a little over exaggerated but they are very nice!) They don't leak (mine don't have PUL but you can add them to the pads for $1 more). I know some people are worried about that but I've never had leaks with Cotton Cheeks pads. I love the fabric choices she has too. Aren't they so cute?

*EDITED* I also wanted to add that a lot of moms claim that their cramps are lighter and flow not as heavy when using mama pads. When I first heard this I thought "What a load of crap!" I've been using mama pads for about 4 months now and my periods and cramps have gotten better! Before using mama cloth, I had BAD cramps for the first 2 days. So bad that they would wake me up at night! Now, I only have bad cramps for about a half a day. I'm not miserable for the first few days anymore. Crazy I know! I don't understand it but I love it!

Another really cool thing about these pads is the star. One star is a light pad/panty liner. Two stars are is medium flow. And of course three stars is heavy flow. Makes it REALLY nice and convenient when you are unsure which is which.

Bum Genius aio (Elemental)

I FINALLY bought my first Elemental a few weeks ago. I am CHEAP! so it was hard for me to justify spending $27 on one diaper. But I am in love so far! It is organic cotton on the inside which is nice and soft on the inside. It is also a One Size diaper so it will last you much longer than the sized AIOs. They are very absorbent!!! My LO slept much longer than I expected (about an extra 2 hours than he normally does) and he didn't have a leak at all! I was amazed!

My review:
I really like this diaper! Love that it's one size, organic and natural fibers, absorbent, and very well made. The only thing I don't like is that the poo doesn't come off as easily as the Deluxe AIO. Other wise, a great diaper!

Bum Genius AIO (Deluxe)

The All In Ones are very similar to the pocket diapers. Except that instead of stuffing the diaper, the insert is already attached. It's the most simplest diaper! It's a great started diaper. All you have to do it put it on, take it off, and put on a new one. Very "Daddy" friendly! It is a sized diaper instead of a One Size diaper which means it's trimmer.

My review:

These are one of my favorite diapers! They are absorbent, trim, easy to use, and cute! I love that they are one piece of fabric on the inside which makes it VERY easy to clean off when LO poops. The only thing I don't like about them is that it takes FOREVER to dry!! And that they tend to stink more than any other diaper. Oh and they are discontinued : ( Hate that! I can barely find them anywhere! Beth from Sweet Bottoms Baby Boutique still have some left! So if you are interested in trying one out, I would hurry and get them now before they are all gone. Bum Genius 4.0 Review

Since Bum Genius was my first cloth diaper, I guess I should start with them. Let me tell you a little about BG first. Their 4.0 pocket diaper has a suedecloth inner so it helps wick the moisture away from the baby. They improved their hook and loop (velcro) to make it stronger. They also added snaps (YAY!) which a lot of mom's love. They have a microfiber insert that snaps down to fit in better for smaller babies. They also made their sizes more generous. I had to move my my LO to the next snap settings (to the second snaps) when he was about 7 months old which was very good. Most of my other pocket diapers, I had to move them up when he was about 5 months old.

My review:

I really like this diaper. It's simple, dries fast, durable, and pretty reasonably priced, which I love. The only things I don't really like about this diaper are the prints. Or lack of prints I should say. I love the darker bright colors but I'm a 'prints' kind of girl. I also don't really like the microfiber inserts. I'm trying to go more natural because I've had too many issues with stinkies : ( But they do offer a more natural option (the Elemental diapers) which I am falling in love with. But that's another review. It's a great diaper!
